For students applying for Grades 10 & 11, we offer rolling admission and will continue to accept applications until class space is full. Please contact the Admissions Office at admissions@stjohnshigh.org or 508.842.8934 ext. 266 for enrollment information on your grade of interest.

Application Requirements
Grade 7 & 8 Admissions Test
This test is used to gauge readiness for the Saint John’s curriculum. Saint John’s uses the EDSeries (Educational Development Series) for the Grade 7 test and the Pre-HSPT for Grade 8. It is a timed exam with five sections - three reading/language sections and two math sections. There is a $50 testing fee. Register for Grade 7 Admissions Test Register for Grade 8 Admissions Test
Grade 9 Admissions Test
Saint John’s utilizes the High School Placement Test (HSPT) to help guide decisions for initial ninth grade placement in addition to admission eligibility. There is a $50 testing fee.
If your student takes the HSPT at a different school, please request that the score report be sent to Saint John’s. Register for Grade 9 Admissions Test
Application for Admission
All prospective students are required to complete the Application for Admission in Ravenna and pay the $40 fee. Apply Online
Student Statement
The student must complete this form in Ravenna in his own words. This allows the admissions team to learn more about the applicant and why he would like to attend Saint John’s.
Parent Statement
The parent or guardian must complete this form in Ravenna in order to help us get to know your family better
Official 2023-2024 & 2024-2025 School Transcripts
A parent or guardian must print and sign the Transcript Release Form in Ravenna and submit it to the applicant’s current school. Saint John’s requires grades from the last completed school year along with the most recent report card from the current academic year. Transfer students may initially submit self-reported grades; however, an official transcript must be received prior to attending Saint John’s High School.
Recommendation
The recommendation may come from a current teacher, counselor, or school administrator who knows the applicant well. Enter their full name and email address in Ravenna and a secure, unique link will be emailed directly to them. This allows the person making the recommendation to submit the completed form online directly to Saint John’s.
Please note: only one recommendation is required.
Student Interview
A formal interview is required for all students applying to Saint John’s. Once a student’s application is complete, the Admissions Office will reach out to schedule the interview, which typically lasts a half-hour, and involves both the student and parent(s)/ guardian(s).
Zoom Interview (International Applicants Only)
The Admissions Office uses Zoom to conduct interviews with international applicants.
TOEFL Score (International Applicants Only)
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a standardized test used to measure the language proficiency of international students. ETS should send the original TOEFL score report to the Admissions Office. The code for Saint John’s High School is 7440.
Original Bank Statement (International Applicants Only)
An original bank statement showing the equivalent of at least $38,000 in U.S. funds must be submitted.
Saint John’s High School has educated young men under the sponsorship of the Xaverian Brothers since 1898.
